The government is continuously making the efforts in order to increase the accommodation by adding annexes and dormitories. Day 1 Arrival To Ramnagar
In the morning, you will arrive at the Ramnagar Railway Station and transfer to the Dhikala Forest Lodge. Check in at the lodge and relax for a while. Head out for a good three-hour forest Safari in which you will get acquainted with the wildlife. In the evening, get back to the Lodge and have an overnight stay there
Day 2 Dhikala Forest
Start your morning with a good cup of coffee. Take your camera and head out for the Jungle Safari. The long Safari to the Jungle will be enough to reveal the true beauty of this amazing forest. Also, enter the Dhikala tourism zone a tourist magnet place of Corbett being visited by a large number of tourists regularly. It is being located at the border of Dun Valley from where the Ramganga flows in numerous channels. You will get an amazing view of the valley from here. Come back to the resort and check out from there on time. Later head out to Delhi which will be no more than 260 Km ride. In this way, your short tour with sweet memories will come to an end.
Day 1 Ram Nagar Arrival
On this day, arrive at the Ramnagar Railway station and get yourself transferred to the Dhikala forest lodge. Check in at the lodge and have some rest for a while. Have your lunch after which, get ready for a three hour drive to exploration. The evening is at leisure to in which you must give your best take assimilate fully of your surroundings.
Day 2 Into the wildlife
Start your day with the most vibrant coffee that is sure to give your day a fine. there after head towards the forest to make you wary of the amazing surrounding that is all around. enter into the tourist oriented Dhikala tourism zone that acts as a magnet to all the tourists visiting the Jim Corbett National Park. Being situated at the border of Dun Valley, it witnesses the flow of Ramganga in numerous channels. From here You will experience the ourstanding view of the vally
Day 3 The Final View
On this day get ready for a drive to the dense Sal forest grassland of riverine forests the presence of a large water body and its location on the foothills You will also get to take an elephant ride on this day where you must explore the richness of Flora and fauna of Corbett from heights Later on come bake to the resort and check out of it Depart to Delhi marking the end.
Day 1 Arrival at Rampur
On this day arrive at the Rampur Railway station. From here you will be assisted to the Dhikala Forest Lodge. Check in and Relax for a while. Later, head out to explore the beauty of nearby areas. There is enough that will hit your sweet spot and give you the maximum out of the journey Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2 Journey of Forest Exploration
Freshen up and give a good start to the day with a perfect cup of coffee. Head out for the exploration of jungle safari in which you will get to explore the plethora of Biodiversity. Do not forget the camera in order to capture some delightful moments with the wildlife. Later head out to Dhikala Tourism Zone where the tourist visiting the national park most often visit. In the evening, head out to the lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 3 More exploration
Freshen up and have your breakfast. Give a good start to the day and head out to explore the even greater aspects of this place. The exceptional beauty will let you develop a deep connection with nature. Done with it, return to Lodge for the overnight stay.
Day 4 Back to Delhi
On this day check out of the hotel and get ready for a drive back to Delhi marking the end of the wild trip.
Dhikala Forest Lodge Accommodation
Strategically located in the core of the dense forest of the famous Corbett National Park, Dhikala forest lodge is one of the unique forest accommodations in the world. Surrounded heavily by wild ambiance, staying at Dhikala guest houses is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience almost mystical. This simple yet amazing forest house is run and administered by the forest department of Corbett National Park. Highly popular among wildlife enthusiasts and lovers of raw nature, Dhikala is situated within the periphery of Patli Dun Valley and offers a breathtaking view of this enchanting valley along with Kanda Ridge. Various streams of the Ramganga River are flowing through this area enhancing the rustic view of the forest. Dhikala guest house is around 32 km from the Dhangadi gate which can only be traveled by the vehicles of the forest department. Covering this distance is an adventure in itself as one can have to cross through the rich flora and fauna of this area which includes vast grassland, dense Sal jungle, various small river channels, and different types of animals roaming on the grassland.
Note: In order to stay at night in the Dhikala Forest Guest House, the Indian and SAARC visitors have to book the accommodation in Dhikala Forest Lodge 46 days in advance and the Foreigners have to book the accommodation 91 days in advance.
The Dhikala forest complex consists of old as well as new building structures and is considered a unique accommodation amidst the large forest, one among few of its kind. The old rest house at Dhikala possesses the historical architecture, built by the Britishers hundreds of years ago. As the Dhikala zone comes under the area of Reserve Park so you will need the govt. permit to visit here, which you have to show to the forest guards at the Dhangadi entry gate. The guest house is only 32 km from the gate but it will take around two hours to reach there on the rustic jungle roads. This guest house provides you with the amazing opportunity to stay inside one of the oldest tiger reserves in the world and experience the amazing nightlife of the forest. If you intend to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of city life then the guest house at Dhikala could be the best choice for you. The picturesque location, lonely quiet environment with the soothing sound of birds can be highly refreshing and rejuvenating for the mind.
Along with these 32 rooms, Forest Lodge at Dhikala also possesses two dormitories which consist of 12 bunk beds and a common bathroom in each dormitory. However, all 32 rooms have their own attached bathrooms with the facility of hot and cold water as well. The campus has a large clean beautiful area in between the guest house complex. Though being in the core of the forest, the Dhikala FRH offers the facilities like electricity in the rooms, hot and cold water in bathrooms and comfortable beds with neat and clean surroundings, and basic medical services. For safety purposes, Dhikala forest lodge is surrounded by a solar electric wire fence to ward off animals entering the premises. Due to all these facilities, it is the most preferred forest lodge in Corbett by wildlife enthusiasts.
Activities At Dhikala FRH
Dhikala zone is open to tourists only from 15th Nov to 15th June every year. In the remaining times of the year, this area is not safe for touring due to heavy monsoons. The water level of many river streams within the region is high at this time making it impossible to cross. The Dhikala zone is a restricted area in this forest so you need a permit to enter here. Staying at Dhikala is highly popular among tourists from India and abroad so it is always advised that you book your rooms at Dhikala FRH in advance before visiting here. It is next to impossible to get a room without an advance booking. Staying at locations like Dhikala forest lodge is nothing but a lifelong memorable experience so plan well in advance about everything, be it booking of rooms, gypsy safari, and a guide.
The entry gate of this zone is Dhela Gate, which is around 20 km from Ramnagar, the nearest town to Corbett Park. You have to show the entry permit at the gate in order to get inside the park. So, if you want to stay at the Jhirna FRH, you need to book a room at the FRH, hire a gypsy safari, and a guide which is mandatory to enter in the park.
When And How To Visit Dhikala
One has to enter from the Dhangarhi gate of Corbett Park after getting the permit in order to reach Dhikala. As soon as your ride enters inside from the gate, you will get the idea of where you are going to spend your time. The large lush green grassy picturesque landscape and enchanting raw forest will mesmerize you with its wild beauty. The various streams of the Ramganga River are the lifeline of this zone not only adding the beauty to forest but also supporting the wildlife in this area. You will pass through many other forest lodges such as Gairal, Sarapduli, Sultan, and others on the way to the Dhikana FRH, which is situated in the innermost part of the forest.
